Describes the policy context that has shaped the skills system in Northern Ireland, and examines the way in which learning is organised and institutionalised. Identifies the key challenges facing the skills system, including automation, changing nature of globalisation, demographic change and Brexit. Provides 15 insights on the key challenges and opportunities that policy makers, the skills system and wider stakeholders in Northern Ireland will need to address.
