Why can’t everyone work flexibly?, IN People Management, Oct 2018, pp8-9

Looks at progress with the flexible working agenda, including difficulties about quantifying flexible work, with many people saying they work flexibly when they actually mean their shifts fluctuate or they occasionally work from home. Notes that problems of extending flexible working more widely include IT security risks, and the debate often fails to address employee concerns such as combining work with childcare. Suggests employers should do more to advertise flexible working and provide better training for line managers.
