Evaluation of the Converge Challenge

Examines the impact on the economy and business development of an entrepreneurship programme based in Scottish universities and research institutes. Describes the pan-Scotland Converge Challenge, a company creation and entrepreneurship development programme aimed at students, staff and graduates. Presents the outputs of the programme, including number of businesses participating. Outlines the experience of beneficiaries and university partners, drawing on case studies. Examines the economic impact of the programme in 2016 and future years. Explores the ways in which businesses have benefitted from support received under the programme. Presents conclusions, indicating that the Converge Challenge provides a significant return on investment.
