Job creation for inclusive growth in cities

Examines the role of labour demand in UK cities, and makes policy proposals to support inclusive growth, drawing on international case studies. Outlines the context for the study, its aims and methodology. Describes the scale and nature of the inclusive growth challenge in UK cities and estimates the 'more and better jobs' gap. Considers the demand side in city economies, and sets out the aims, rationales and types of demand-side policies for inclusive growth in cities. Outlines the analysis and learning from international case studies. Presents a strategic approach and policy options for UK cities to promote inclusive growth under existing and enhanced devolved powers and resources.
