Science, technology, engineering, mathematics: education and training strategy for Scotland

Presents the Scottish Government's strategy and programme of actions for education, training and lifelong learning relating to science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). Outlines the importance of STEM in Scotland and the key challenges faced. Describes the approach to developing the strategy, including the consultation process and links to other strategies and policies. Provides an overarching vision, aims and outcomes for STEM in Scotland. Presents actions, case studies and proposed outcomes in relation to promoting the key STEM priorities: excellence; equity; inspiration; and connection. Outlines the delivery arrangements, focused on a Ministerial-chaired implementation group supported by a broader external advisory group. Provides a summary of proposed actions and lead organisations.
